The Chicago Blackhawks had a little reunion Saturday night, as they took on the Atlanta Thrashers, who currently house four players from the Blackhawks Stanley Cup roster. The two teams battled it out hard, sending the game into Overtime with four goals a piece. Luckily, Viktor Stalberg was able to give the Hawks a victory in the Shootout, saving them from accumulating three consecutive losses for the first time this season. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews also had big games; Kane snagged three points and Toews had four.

Only three minutes into the game, Atlanta took an early lead, but Toews answered right back about six and a half minutes later. Before the period could come to an end, Kane gave Chicago the lead with his first goal of the night. However, early in the second period, the Thrashers tied things. Up to this point in the game, all four goals had been Power Play goals.

Less than a minute after tying things up, Atlanta took the lead, once again, with the first non-Power Play goal of the game. Less than a minute after that, Toews kept things interesting, tying the game up again with his second goal of the night. About half way through the period, the Thrashers capitalized on another Power Play, but with a little over three minutes left before the third period, Kane netted his second for the night.

Despite a total of eight goals within the first period, neither team gave up any goals in the third. 21 shots were exchanged in this period, before heading into Overtime. Each team got off three shots in Overtime, but, once again, things went scoreless, sending the game into a Shoot Out. It was a five round Shoot Out, but in the end, Stalberg netted the winner.

Marty Turco may have given up four goals in Regular Time, but he had some crucial saves in the Shoot Out to give Chicago the win. Turco made 33 saves during the game, along with another three in the Shoot Out. Turco now has a record of 7-4-1.

The Blackhawks will play again Tonight, against the Edmonton Oilers. That game will take place at 6:00 P.M. CT.
