After a tough loss to the Calgary Flames the night before, the Chicago Blackhawks came out and destroyed the Vancouver Canucks. They are now 2-1 on their six game road trip. Fernando Pisani almost ended up with a Hat Trick, scoring two of the later goals.

Despite the high score, the first goal didn’t go in until the fifth minute of the second period, when Jonathan Toews deflected in a shot by Marian Hossa. A few minutes later, Troy Brouwer gave the Hawks a two goal lead with his third goal of the season. In the 13th minute, Brent Seabrook scored a Power Play goal, with another assist coming from Hossa. Before the period could come to an end, Patrick Sharp got goal number 12, making it a 4-0 game.

Early in the third period, Pisani put in his first goal, followed by another less than two minutes later; he doubled his season goals in one game. The Blackhawks final goal came in the 11th minute from Patrick Kane, with an assist from Nick Boynton. They were close to getting the Shut Out, but a Power Play situation for the Canucks allowed them to put in their lone goal of the game.

Corey Crawford had a great game, grabbing his third win of the season. He made 27 saves against the Canucks.

Hopefully, the Blackhawks can pull out another big game like this against the San Jose Sharks this Wednesday, November 24, at 9:30 P.M. CT. This will be the Hawks first game against he Sharks since they swept them in the Playoffs last season.
