The Chicago Blackhawks finished off their Road Trip on a successful note, taking two of three games in California. If not for a Power Play goal in the final minutes of the game, the Hawks would have shut out the Kings. Regardless, Chicago got the win and get to return back home.
16 shots were exchanged in the first period, but neither team put anything between the pipes. It wasn’t until the tenth minute of the second period when Patrick Sharp gave the game its first goal. The game remained 1-0 until Patrick Kane put in a second goal for the Hawks, early in the third period. The Kings took ten shots in that final period, but, luckily, they only managed to snag that one Power Play goal before the final horn.
Corey Crawford got back-to-back wins, making his ninth appearance of the season. Crawford put up 21 saves against Los Angeles. He has not received a loss since November 7.
Hopefully, the Hawks can get a streak going as they take on the St. Louis Blues back home, this Tuesday, November 30. That game will start at 7:00 P.M. CT.
