The Chicago Blackhawks dropped their seventh Home game this season, bringing their record to 8-9-1. The Hawks had the lead for a good portion of the first period, but then lost the lead early in the second, with back-to-back goals. Hopefully, Chicago can work things out soon, before they fall too behind in the standings.
Only about half way through the period, Bryan Bickell gave Chicago the lead with his third goal of the season, putting it through the five hole. The Hawks were very aggressive in the first period, taking 14 shots and only allowing four. Unfortunately, Phoenix tied things up during the sixth minute of the second period, followed by another goal about 30 seconds later. The Blackhawks had chances to tie things up again, but fell just short before the final horn.
Marty Turco didn’t see much action in this game, making 20 saves and giving up two goals. He had some great saves, but let up one too many.
The Blackhawks have a big game against the Nashville Predators this Saturday, November 13, at 7:00 P.M. CT. The Predators are currently the only team in the Division trailing the Hawks.
