The Chicago Cubs are now 3-1 in Spring Training after putting up another dominating game against the Oakland Athletics.  However, unlike the first game, the Cubs were short for Home Runs.  That’s alright, because there were plenty of RBIs to make up for that; Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, Bobby Scales, Micah Hoffpauir, and Chad Tracy each had an RBI, while Mike Fontenot had two.  The game remained close until this rally came in the seventh inning, putting the Athletics down.

On the Mound:

Ryan Dempster had a great two innings in, drawing zeroes across the board for runs and walks.  Jeff Samardzija only gave up a single hit and a single walk during his two innings in.  Sean Marshall gave up one of the runs and Tom Gorzelanny gave up the other two, with each giving up a homer; Marshall also had two strikeouts.  Esmailin Caridad also had a perfect inning in the game.

The Cubs next game will be against the Milwaukee Brewers, Today, March 9.  The game will take place at 2:05 P.M. CT.
