Only four teams remain at this point in the tournament: USA, Canada, Finland, and Slovakia.  Team USA put up a great game against Switzerland on Wednesday, only grabbing two goals, but out shooting the Swiss, 44-19.  Luckily, Ryan Miller was on fire for the US, shutting out the Swiss in their second match up of the 2010 Olympics.  If the U.S. can defeat Finland and advance to the Finals, there will be Chicago Blackhawks players on both teams.  Patrick Kane, for the U.S., versus either Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, and Brent Seabrook on Team Canada or Marian Hossa and Tomas Kopecky on Team Slovakia.

The only two goals in this game both belonged to Zach Parise from the New Jersey Devils.  The game remained scoreless until the second minute of the third period wen Parise got the first goal.  Then, in the final minute, Parise scored an Empty Net goal to clinch the win for the US.  There were three instances (2 for the US, and 1 for Switzerland) when there could have been goals, but they were revoked for various reasons.

Team USA will play their Semi Final game against Finland this Friday, February 26, at 2:00 P.M. CT.
