The Chicago Cubs have shown an interest in Rudy Jaramillo, the former hitting coach for the Texas Rangers. The two parties have begun discussing contracts recently. If the proposed contract between Jaramillo and the Cubs goes through, Jaramillo would be the highest paid coach in the MLB, making upwards of $750,000 in a multi-year deal.
In addition to the Cubs, the Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, and Houston Astros all have an interest in Jaramillo.
Jaramillo has been with the Rangers for the last 15 years and would be a great addition to the Cubs organization, if picked up.
