The Chicago Blackhawks just didn't come out playing like they had in the previous game against the Vancouver Canucks. There was an obvious lack of energy which caused them to lose 3-1 in Game 3. The Blackhawks have one more game in Chicago before returning to Canada.
Vancouver managed to put up three goals before the Blackhawks made their first and only goal of the game. The Canucks had one goal in the first period and two more early in the second period. Brian Campbell gave Chicago their goal about half way through the second period. The third period went scoreless despite many great shots by the Blackhawks in an attempt to equal the score.
A lot of credit should be given to Nikolai Khabibulin for playing an amazing game. He was able to hold the Canucks off to three goals. Khabibulin had 18 saves and the Blackhawk offense took 24 shots on Vancouver.
Game 4 of this series takes place this Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 Central Time. This is the last game the Blackhawks will play at home until they return back to Canada.
