Go Blackhawks! They took the series in six games. Hat Trick by Patrick Kane helped seal the win on the game. The Chicago Blackhawks continue to move on in this playoff series, leaving the Vancouver Canucks to return to Canada.
This was a very high scoring game, starting off with a goal from the Canucks. Patrick Kane quickly tied up the game with his first of three goals. Early in the second period, Kris Versteeg gave the Blackhawks the lead. About half way through the period, Captain Jonathan Toews widened the gap even further. Unfortunately, before the end of the period, the Canucks tied the game up again at 3-3.
Early in the third period, Vancouver took their first lead of the game, but Adam Burish tied it up again only about two minutes later. About half way through the third period, the Canucks took the lead again, for the final time in this series. Out of nowhere, Kane came back and put his second goal in, tying the game at 5-5. Less than a minute later, Toews added the winning goal for the Blackhawks, but it wasn't over yet. Before the end of the game, Kane put in his third goal, giving him a Hat Trick!
Nikolai Khabibulin really did an amazing job for the Blackhawks in this game. He may have let five goals past, but he saved 33 goals! There is no defeating the Bulin Wall! Of the Blackhawks 30 shots on the Canuck's goalie, seven of those were put in; nearly a quarter of their shots were goals.
Now the Chicago Blackhawks will either face the Detroit Red Wings or the Anaheim Ducks in the third round. The Red Wings currently lead the series, 3-2.
