What a spectacular game! Although the game was scoreless going into Over Time, it was completely filled with amazing shots and saves. Nikolai Khabibulin made 20 saves against the Columbus Blue Jackets, some of which were incredible. The winning goal was put in by Kris Versteeg during the second minute of Over Time, giving the Chicago Blackhawks a 1-0 win against the Blue Jackets.
The Chicago Blackhawks only have four more games left in the regular season, and if the standings remain, the Blackhawks will be playing the Vancouver Canucks in the first round. However, the Columbus Blue Jackets also have a chance of taking the fifth spot, enabling them to play the Blackhawks in the first round of the playoffs. The Blackhawk's current record with the Canucks is 2-2 and it is 3-2 with the Blue Jackets.
The Blackhawk's next game will be against the Nashville Predators this Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00 Central Time.
