The Chicago Blackhawks just couldn't pull out a win over the Columbus Blue Jackets in Friday's 5-3 loss. The first period ended with two goals for the Blue Jackets, but the Blackhawks came back in the second period with two goals of their own; goals were made by Brent Seabrook and Kris Versteeg. However, Columbus put another shot in before the end of the second period. Early in the third period, Columbus added another goal, making the score 4-2, but then Patrick Kane lessened the gap a little bit, giving the Blackhawks a chance. Unfortunately, they were unable to tie up the game. The Blue Jackets added one more goal in the final seconds of the game.
The net was still without Nikolai Khabibulin, who is currently off the IR list. Cristobal Huet managed to make 17 saves this game.
The Blackhawks will play their next game Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 P.M. against the New York Islanders.
